MacEwan University Food Services is proud to announce that Towers has achieved Best Bar None accreditation for the second year in a row. Towers received top marks under the Campus Bar category (which scores establishments based on safe operating standards and responsible management standards), leading to Towers placing third overall in its category. It’s an exciting triumph for Towers, and well-deserved recognition for its hard-working team.
“We are very proud—this accreditation shows that Towers operates on the level of industry best practices and that we are serving the needs of our guests, and doing that responsibly,” says Lukas Gibson, Towers manager.
Best Bar None was originally developed in the United Kingdom and has since spread to numerous other countries and cities, making it an internationally recognized accreditation and achievement.
Piloted in Edmonton in 2010, the first year saw 63 applicants with only 38 successfully accredited. Now in its seventh year in our city, Best Bar None is a voluntary program intended to keep patrons and staff safe, as well as recognize best practices and excellence.
You can easily find local Best Bar None accredited locations in Edmonton, each one identified as safe and well-managed, through the program’s website.
